Example listing. It shows how a GJWV role should be written. It is not a live opening, and an application is not sent to an employer.

Sponsorship

Northwind will sponsor an EU Blue Card and pay the employee’s standard immigration fees. The contract is a permanent German employment contract.

Relocation. One month of temporary housing and a one-way flight for the employee.

The work

You will own features from the first sketch to the production release for a retail platform used across the EU. The team is twelve people. Three days are in the Kreuzberg studio, two are yours to place. The role is open because the company wants someone who has shipped product in a second country, not because a local search failed on paper.

Responsibilities

  • Design and ship customer-facing features with one designer and one product manager.
  • Keep a TypeScript and PostgreSQL codebase understandable for the next person.
  • Pair with support when a retailer is blocked, and turn those days into product changes.
  • Help the hiring manager write the next sponsorship listing honestly.

Requirements

  • Five years building web products that real customers depend on.
  • Comfort with TypeScript, SQL, and a modern React codebase.
  • English for the team. German is useful and not required on day one.
  • A degree or equivalent experience the Blue Card route can recognise. The employer confirms this before filing.

This page describes what the employer says they will file. It is not immigration advice. Confirm the route with the authority that issues the visa.
